Buy-to-let is a complex investment primarily due to the investor's ability to borrow a substantial part (up to 85%) of the capital cost of the investment.   Decisions taken when starting out can affect the overall performance of your investment by 10's and in some cases 100's of thousands of pounds.

Potential investors need to understand the numerous options open to them, the short & long-term effects of each option and develop a strategy that will both meet their expectations and include alternative courses of action to take into account market changes before setting out to buy even their first property.

We have designing a series of one-day Workshops the first, our Master Class, covers all the components that need to be considered when deciding whether or not to invest in buy-to-let.

Our other one-day Workshops concentrate, more intensively, on the different aspects of these component parts and their impact on the success of a buy-to-let investment.

We would advise anyone considering attending any of our Workshops to start with our Master Class, regardless of their level of experience in buy-to-let.

The Principle Presenters are:

David Humphreys, Managing Director of Buy-To-Let Ltd, hands-on investor, author of Investing In Residential Property and designer of our Software.

David has over 30 years experience in residential investment and his views are regularly sought by the national press, radio & TV and he also presents seminars at national exhibitions including the Homebuyers Show, the Property Investors Show and Landlord Associations plus working with organisations such as Whitney UK.

Philip Eley, a Chartered Accountant, experienced hands-on buy-to-let investor, who manages our Acquisition Service on behalf of Clients and co-presents with David.

Jon Cable, a Chartered Accountant & Partner of Harwood Hutton, who is also a Client Investor.

Costs, Locations & Times:

With the exception of Buying at Auction (2-Days on Location) , the number of delegates for any one day is limited to 24 people, the cost is £ 300 for 1 person, £ 500 for 2 people, who can be unrelated, and includes full course notes, light refreshments plus a buffet lunch.

Each day starts at 8.30 am with coffee followed by the presentation starting at 9am and generally finishes around 6pm, though the Master Class can run on to around 7pm.

All workshops take place at a location in West London, generally Richmond or Hammersmith, which is convenient for both Public Transport, parking and overnight accommodation.

Buying at Auction (2-Days on Location) is limited to 6 people on any single viewing day, takes place at the location of the properties being auctioned and costs £ 750 per person.

The day starts at around 8.30am, or at least 1.5 hrs before the first viewing, with a pre-viewing briefing and ends around 1.5 hrs after the last viewing following a review of all properties seen. Full course notes and a packed lunch are provided, light refreshments are subject to the viewing schedule.
