Some of these Property Networking Events are seemingly completely independent of any commercial bias other than well known buy-to-let speakers being promoted at the event whilst other Property Networking Events do not look quite so independent and maybe are just a marketing event for the promoter which you have to pay to attend!

Also these events are very different to National Landlord Association local branch meetings that I am more familiar with, which will be the subject of a report later this year.

Property Networking Events though are springing up every where with the organisers possible encouraged by the huge success of the Berkshire Property Meet, one of the first, and run in Maidenhead by Sylvia & Juswant Rai on the 3rd Monday of each month,  bar August, or at least that appears to be the case this year, 2009.

Whether you are a novice, expert or just thinking about it, you should make every effort to attend as many as possible.

Some like the Berkshire are attended by 2-300 people, others just starting up or recent starts may only have 15-20 people but they are still worth attending and supporting.

Not only do you have a chance to “see and hear” speakers for a few pounds that would cost you probably hundreds at other venues but also meet and talk to other investors again from novice through expert and including those just thinking about it.

Sure there is some pressure from some of the course promoters and others is the business to “join up” but it is generally all fairly low key.

I will finish by quoting from The Berkshire Property Meet web site, sentiments which I am completely in agreement with:

It's where the experts meet the experts and you can meet them TOO!
