The Balcony off the Living Room
You will need to hire a car, Malaga Airport is about 1 hour away, the nearest supermarket is a 3-5 minute drive, it’s located just outside the development, nearest beach 8-10 minutes, same for restaurants with Puerto Banus about a 20 minute drive dependent on the time of day. Marbella is half an an hour away with Gibraltar an easy drive for a day out with the monkeys and of course Morocco is within reach by ferry.
View from the Balcony
South east facing so you get the morning sun for breakfast and are able to enjoy warm/hot evenings without the problems of direct sunlight. The balcony also extends across the principle bedroom below. For all the golfers amongst you you can see 14 greens from this balcony with the Villa Padierna across the greens. The Villa is the 1st building you can see in the picture at the end of the row of palm trees with the Club House to the right. If you want to know more about the golf, click of the Club House above.
Principle En-Suite Bedroom
Twin bedded, the beds can be pushed together for those that need company, like me, and bedding is supplied. The bedroom has the same view as the View from the Balcony above and within the bedroom space is a full en-suite tiled out bathroom with a large powerful seperate shower, not over-bath, I love it!
Also the passage leading to the bed area, off which is the bathroom, has a wall of cupboards so you can pack as much as your airline will allow you to take.
Staying at Los Flamingos
Los Flamingos offers you a unique combination of location, environment and facilities for a superb quality of life. It is a fantastic collection of highly desirable developments spanning a whole valley, offering unrestricted views over the Mediterranean Sea reaching from Marbella to Gibraltar.
The area offers you some of the best golf on the Costa del Sol so i am told as I don’t play Golf, including a championship course and a golf academy on premises.
Other services include a five star Hotel Villa Padierna, which I have enjoyed, and a splendid spa. Security and comfort are equally important, the whole area and each development has security gates with manned security staff.
Being within easy reach of Puerto Banus, Marbella, Estepona and just minutes away from the main roads, Los Flamingos is ideally located both for amenities and social life, yet offering the views and traquility expected by discerning visitors.
Playing Golf at Los Flamingos
Los Flamingos offers you one of the very best golfing experiences on the Costa del Sol. The complex will offer three 18 hole golf courses. The first course designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido is already open, as is a 9 hole Executive Course, soon to be extended to 18 holes. 'Gran Flamingo' the second par 72 championship course is currently under construction and will become playable in 2006, so everything is open, I cut & pasted this section and as already mentioned, don’t play golf.
The architect Antonio Garcia Garrido carefully designed each of the 18 holes so that they provide breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, Africa and Gibraltar. The 'Arroyo del Traje' stream passes through the Flamingos Golf Course forming part of the grounds of the Tuscan Pallazo, bordering the natural lake. Each of the 18 holes on the course offer their own individuality. It is a technically demanding and exciting course and looks like it, my final comment in italics.

Depends on when and how long but a minimum of Euros 497 PW to 997 PW July & August.
Booking deposit - 50%. Balance to be paid at least 2 months prior to arrival.
Whose allowed?
Kids, just about, pets, preferably not, smokers OK but only on the balcony and certainly not in the bedrooms, drinkers definitely, provided samples are left, as to the rest of the normal prohibitions yes to all but again provided samples are left!
Summary
Great place, great atmosphere, want piece & quiet, you have got it in spades, some really local good restaurants, two good supermarkets with plenty of local grub, looks like great golf, I don’t play, easy access to the east coast of Spain plus south Portugal, great value for money!!.
